The New Wave Photos of Philippe Carly

The New Wave Photos of Philippe Carly. The Belgian native photographed just about every punk, new wave, goth, etc., band that played in Europe in the late 1970s and through the 1980s. There is a veritable horn o' plenty of concert photos to ogle with supposedly more on the way.
Wow, thanks for posting this NoMich!
It's great to see Carly's work collected in one spot. A few of these are like old friends, including the unflattering pic of Ian Curtis on the cover of Joy Division's Heart and Soul box set.

Amazing -- proof that XTC really did play live at one point!

Holy crap, these are great pictures...I saw that Roxy Music tour in 1980 in Munich (on July 4!), and it was incredible...a backup band called The Original Mirrors for some reaon never made it at all, but they were marvelous...and I saw the Psychedelic Furs (for the first of 8 times) in the fall of 1981 in godawful College Park, Maryland...Duncan Kilburn on sax was still with the group, and Talk Talk Talk had just come out and had utterly electrified me...still think it's their best, although Mirror Moves is pretty damned good too...these pictures are causing a near-Proustian flood of memories...the Furs were a hideously under-appreciated group...great guitar work from John Ashton and fabulous lyrics and singing from Richard Butler, a true poet.

mmmmm. tastes great with this.
That thread is how I found this new wave pix site. I was about to complain that the mod music site had nothing about the Monochrome Set, so I did a GIS for them and I found this site. An hour or so later, this FPP was born.
And 1016, yeah, I nearly went into convulsions from the flood of memories.

Nice to see the pix, but the only remarkabke aspect is just how many shows this Carly person went to.
The pix themselves are pretty boring.
