Well, your comments killed my joke. I hope you're happy.
(It included austronauts, Bette Midler and a teeny tiny fellow named Wes).

Well, that was happy! Is that a famous song, or an original song?

That was very fun and cheerful!

It's an original, but I doubt it'll be famous, It's good, but not up to par with the best Grandaddy songs. Check'em out if you haven't. Start with their breakthrough, "Under the Western Freeway". Fantastic album.

Grandaddy? D'oh! I look at the URL - softcitizen - gotta be a reference to The Soft Bulletin. Check. Furries? Check. Wayne Coyne-soundalike vocals? Check. So I duly file the QT movie under The Flaming Lips and then I read these comments ...

I like The Sophtware Slump a lot, I'll check out Under the Western Freeway. Thanks for the tip!

Unadulterated happiness.

The bunnies hugging the crying fish was particularly so.

I watched it all the way though and sang along. Loudly. I couldn't help myself.

I have diabetes now.

haha, very cute.

I have diabetes now.

I hear you TheGoldenOne - I am going to have to go throw darts at a bush & cheney pic to get my natural equilbrium back.

I totally got snowed into thinking this was a Flaming Lips masterpiece too, kcds. All that was missing were the giant balloons and a reference to mortality.

Now I strangely feel like trying to be nice to everyone. Especially little kids in bunny costumes -- are these people trying to kill my poor pancreas?

If you repeat the same thing over, and over, and over, eventually it becomes indistinguishable from redundancy.

The kids were having so much fun in that video. My parenting instincts lead me to rate this four stars.

What does it say about me that I was expecting all the animals to kill each other by the end of it?

What I thought coming away from it, too.
If they could keep a shit-eating grin on their faces that long, it couldn't be that bad.

And, it was nice to see the fish peacefully coexisting with everyone except man.

C'mon guys, quit the furry references. This is a sweet sincere piece that is just trying to spread the sunshine. Thanks for posting, Mwongozi.

This is the genuinestly goodest thing I've ever seen on the internet. It reminds me of my crunchy-granola summer camp when I was little.

My word, does it go far to cleanse the palette between episodes of Deadwood.

This thing totally had me fooled--until I noticed that the raccoon had a zipper. Now I wonder if some sort of special effects were involved.

This video goes back a while...it originally appeared as a video track on Grandaddy's Sumday album, and the song underwent a slight remix for the Below the Radio release...and i believe the making of this video predates the animal-costume craze of Flaming Lips...

...it's cool to see a Grandaddy link here...their message board lured me away from constant metafiltering about a a year and a half ago...(though, of course, I check in here everyday)...

Still, I kept expecting a someone in a gorilla suit to walk through the scene from stage right.
