If you rightclick the pics and "view image" they get a lot bigger.
I read The Wasp Factory, avriette; detailed amateur science like this doesn't seem to have much to do with the, er, detailed amateur religion in that book.

And yet science and religion are always close sometimes when we're talking detailed amateur noun. Especially the skull collecting. I'm telling you, it's a good thing he's not Scottish.
