David Lanham's online portfolio. Chock full of goodness, and well-designed to boot, check out sketches, artwork, and animation. He's even got wallpaper and icons for you.
Thanks! His worked looked instantly familiar but I didn't get it until I hit the icons link and explored there...The Invading Your Space icons were at iconfactory. Love that Cat!

Yeah, his fulltime job is at Iconfactory... If you've got a Mac, you've got to try out his Somatic theme (required by law)...

"Excellent", "Cool", "Nice".
I never would have thought anyone would say that about a seriously average cartoon artist with weak computer skills but there you go: Proves the point that art is truly subjective.
eh..you say tomato, I say tomãto.

Oh, I agree. I didn't realize he worked for an icon factory before I finished my rant. Hey, within the context of what he's doing, he is just averagely fine. But as an artist, he has leaps and bounds to go is all I'm trying to say.
and yeah, I see that N.R. reference but check out some of that guys work. It's pretty dark stuff at times.

I like his stuff. I like his icons etc (I just downloaded the space pickle one for my desktop), but I really like his sketching style. I think I need to go buy a sketch pad and some nice graphitey things...
Thanks for the link.

Great stuff! Thanks for the link :) I've definitely seen some of this before, but I hadn't been able to place it.

I'll second the "meh" on his artistic skills, but the site layout and the icons are pretty nice.

This falls into a category of "deceptively simple" illustrations/art that I really enjoy (and tried to find more of via AskMe). Thank you for this.

I've had some of these wallpapers on my desktop for several months now. (Yes, I'm so cool, I've seen this before)
Anyway, I like his style.
