Tired of people sending you links you've seen weeks before? Old News Baby lets you create a list of urls you've seen, so you can refer back to your inherent coolness when people are talking about them.

This is a great idea. I have been using del.icio.us for this purpose for a year and a half, and it works quite well.

Yep, seems a whole lot like del.icio.us, just with a bolder timestamp. Nice, clean design, though.

Interesting...
Triplo on the del.icio.us point though (what, you haven't heard of it? ...heh heh).
In fact, related to this "Firstism", there's even a cool algorithm for finding out which users find things faster than you.
I prefer RSS feeds of my favorite del.icio.us tags on a two minute refresh. :^)

I'm worried I might really have to use this (or delicious) to stop people IMing me old jokes. Friendly spam really is driving me mad. And it's demoralizing -- every time someone demonstrates that they didn't catch a net joke until two weeks after the fact, it reminds me that unlike me, they were too busy out having a life.

When they build an interface that allows me to filter my email through this thing, let me know.

Totally true, but why use Old News Baby when you can just direct people to Metafilter? :)

jacquilynne, shoppingforsanity, it was called speedle, back in 00/01. It didn't work (out).
I've been secretly lazyWebWishing for something like OldNewsBaby, though I wanted it to be called MemeLagtm. Sigh.
