Erik Petersen. Danish newspaper photographer. Died in 1997. He took a number of pictures around WWII.
He never developed them.
Fortunately, sixty years later, someone else has.
Now they can be found in a book.
Here's a bit of bloggery as well.
If anybody wants a translation of the comments to one of the pictures, just say so.

The important thing to see here, I think, is the grand old time these guys were having as the archetypical evil empire was already on the march.

Thanks, IndigoJones! Misteraitch, I was going to comment on that one (I'd love to be able to have it blown up and framed), and I was also particularly struck by this one.
