180GB HD

180GB HD anyone? It's a bargain at only $2195.
I read that as a 180MB hard drive, for $21.95. I really do need to start reading more closely.
I work with a few people that will probably have one of these big ol' drives sometime next year.

I'd rather have a 24-disk RAID 15 array of 10,000rpm 18GB drives. Of course, that would probably cost a bit more than $2195. But a guy can dream, can't he?

I can buy it with all the money I saved downloading 57,346 MP3 files instead of buying 3178 CDs. In fact, for a total savings of $44,321, I can buy twenty.
Take that, moneygrubbing musicians!

Largest in the world, yes. But the thing that really got my attention was the low noise rating of 3.7 decibels. Alas, my hopes for a quieter machine were crushed, since it's just a typo and the correct figure is 37 dB. Oh well, back to daydreaming...

They'd better have a good warrenty on those things, cuz I'd be just slightly pissed off to lose 180 gigs of data....
If you're gonna buy 2, might as well get 6 and have a 1TB server

This could also mean the next OS you get will require 100 Gigs of disk space to run. The plus side is that the OS will have a very realistic cartoon character that will dance around when you open files.

Hell yes - at 30fps, that's not even 9 minutes of 2k video.
