Giant Woman Licks Man

Post No Bills. At the intersection of life and advertising one may unexpectedly find art, or at least humor. Henry Ho shines a light on it. (42 pages. Or view all thumbnails together)
This is too many photos! Some of them are quite eerie, and of course, there are plenty of funny ones. Ultimately, what's so strange is that the ubiquity of these very intense billboards turns them into background. It will be interesting to see which one's people pull out; I liked this one for some reason. I could see it being funny, but I kind of see it as poignant.

"Giant taglist licks metafilter" ;- )
Thanks taz! Do you suppose he likes girls in advertising? I kept getting the feeling that this series gave him an opportunity to do some serious babe-in-advert perusing. But there's some unique and smart juxtapositions - it actually brings up ideas for shots incorporating 2 worlds kinda thing.

Yeah, and although I like looking at skinny, scantily-clad women as much as anyone, too many of them are not that good. I got tired of all the blurred people in the foregrounds. Still it's an interesting idea, and OmieWise picked a nice one (in which the guy, unaccountably, isn't blurred.) I like this one, maybe because it doesn't have anybody in the foreground.

...another great find from taz... this one makes a statement.
Perusing this site reminded me of an amusing billboard photo I found some time ago that could be filed under the boys will be boys category.

Nice find. (The Chinese title of this collection means 'nothing but provocative ads'.)
It's almost impossible not to take shots like these when one's in Shanghai.

I guess the appeal for me is in the clash of the glamourous and the mundane.

This is how I feel when I slogg home from work, too (no, look to the right). I love when a photographer can catch on-the-fly moments like those.
Thanks, taz!
