Today the Estonian composer Arvo Pärt turns 70. To celebrate this occasion, Estonian Radio Klassika Raadio will be broadcasting his music all month, as well as a comprehensive documentary series on his life and works. The first segment of the series airs today and is entitled "I Thirst For Music". Listen.
Pärt is magnificent. Thanks!

Rather, it's not the link I'm having trouble with, but the real player streaming audio. Any suggestions?

NB! The times given are all local (GMT + 2 hours; summertime + 3 hours)!
It is being broadcast at 21:00 local time. That's 1:00 pm EST, yes? Is my math right?

Arvo Pärt on suurepärane!
Veljo Tormis is also pretty good, if you like Estonian music that's somewhat classical and somewhat minimalistic (at times). First time I heard Kust ma tunnen oma kodu (How do I recognize my home), I was quite hooked. I think they worked together at one point, too.

Thanks for the head's up! My SO is much appreciative. I'm going to try and rip the stream for posterity and put it up for others to enjoy... no guarantee to the quality, however.
Fratres from Tabula Rasa is still my fave.

Hurrah for Pärt! Hearing his Te Deum for the first time, on the radio while vacationing in eastern North Carolina, was quite an experience. Thanks for the post!

Uh, for the math-disinclined such as myself, is that 4:00pm or 3:00pm EST (is it still summer over there)? Or some other time, EST?
