Industrial and architectural photography. With both black and white and colour. I wish I could read German.
The German text boils down to nostalgic memories of a steel worker's hard labor in a steel mill in the early 80s. Excellent post.

I really hate that writing style, which seems to be uniquely german. I cannot pinpoint it, but books like Herr Lehmann have it. The writing is just ... different from german books. Sort of faux intellectual.

I'm a sucker for these kinds of pictures, so thanks. I like Shaft 3 best.

Great photos/site. I keep thinking I've gone through all of the pictures and then I find one link that goes to more galleries. These like like scenes from a Nitzer Ebb video.

Are you two talking about the same text? I'm interested in the back story about these sites. So many of these sites are now demolished. Apart from having these photos we are losing the stories behind them.
Favourite picture. Favourite story (is this what you're talking about markesh?)
I love these pictures but I crave some context.

I recently saw a great exhibition of the work ofBernd and Hilla Becher - Typologies. They are the best photographers of industrial archaeology and the huge body of work in the exhibition is amazing. Go see it if you can or buy the book.
