Pre-announcing Google Wallet. A Pay-Pal competitor from the little search engine that could...
Where are they handing out the RFID implants, again? Starbucks? Or was that Yahoo's secret master plan that I'm mis-remembering?
Though, Google doing auctions/craigslist is palatable in theory. Please don't be evil.Oh, shit - you're publicly owned now, aren't you?

What's with the constant boring refrain about Google taking over the world? What a ridiculous failure of imagination. The real problem is that Google will spread itself too thin and start to produce crap.

Google has maybe 3-4 decent hits:
1. Search
2. Maps
3. Email
4. News
The duds (or nothing to write home about category)
1. catalogs
2. froogle
3. answers
4. Talk
Yes I'm skipping the other ones (groups, blogger, sms, local, earth, etc)
Overall this Google hype seems over-done. Yes they're a neat company and yes they're trying new things rapidly, but in the grand scheme of things they probably don't know what the end goal is either.

It's hysterical that they could actually put something like this on the open web with such an obvious url. It's not at all difficult to make a page generally unavailable except to selected users/clients even if for testing purposes you have to put it on a generally-available server. This is the kind of n00b mistake they should be incapable of; which makes you wonder if they meant it to be found.
