Who loves ya baby AmIHotOrNot with a twist, humiliated by receiving a paltry 2.3 ? Could it be that ninety nine percent of the votes came from vegetarian midgets that smoke ? Wouldn't it be nice to know you are a solid 9.4 amongst the one percent of blonde Amazonian godess' ? Get detailed demographic info on the types of people voting for you :)
I think what bothers me is the idea that anyone actually thinks they can judge anything important about someone else merely by looking at a photograph of their face.
There's been a lot of publicity in the rags about "psychics in Russia", and James Randi, ever game for a challenge, sought out two women there who claimed to be able to tell all sorts of things about people by looking at their photographs.
He gave them twenty photos of twenty people and permitted them to select their own, from which they were then to describe the characteristics of the individual. Now knowing Randi, you have to expect that every one of those 20 was somehow booby-trapped and that the people in them were unusual in some way. They selected a picture of a quite good looking young man and started talking about him, describing him as being friendly and making various other positive comments about him.
The picture they had chosen was Theodore "Ted" Bundy, the serial killer who roamed the US in the early 1970's killing a couple of dozen young women. He was eventually captured, convicted and in 1989 was executed, and good riddance.
These purported psychics had made no mention whatever about such an obvious characteristic.
I bet if we took a photo of Ted Bundy and put it on this site, it would rate highly. He was a monster, but he was a handsome monster.

"I think what bothers me is the idea that anyone actually thinks they can judge anything important about someone else merely by looking at a photograph of their face."
a) It's a bit of harmless fun
b) To some sexual attractiveness is indeed important and can be judged pretty accurately from a photograph
c) The point of these sites is the superficiality of it all, no one is purporting that those who rate highly are good people, they are just the people most likely to score in a bar, as would good old Mr Bundy.
Lighten up people.

I don't have to bang the "self selecting surveys" drum here, right?
