Yeah, this is a kinda lame post. But having just watched this Daily Show episode on TiVo, I have to get this off my chest -- what the hell is wrong with Nancy Pelosi? Is it just me, or is she everything that's wrong with the Democrats right now?

I don't think Jon Stewart does a good job of interviewing people that he likes. On top of that, I just don't find Pelosi to be an engaging, rah-rah, type of person to me. I agree with her on most every issue, but it's painful to watch her in an interview. Her daughter is cute though.

He's not a good interviewer in general, but I did think he was trying to push her on Iraq. She just looked lame as she fell back on her political catch phrases and regurgitated democrat sloganeering. She seems to lack media savvy or the capacity for independent thought.

Corddry's report was both funny and scary; I'd never quite thought of the "reconstruction" in those terms before.

And yes, Pelosi is terrible in all sorts of ways. But she's no Commander Cuckoobananas, that's for sure.

Actually, Hillary sucks in general. She's an Iraq hawk, supports further patriot act type placement of recruiters on campuses, etc. She's a DLC windbag, and that crew is EXACTLY what's wrong with the Democratic Party.
