This is hilarious. There's a lot of other good stuff on Jay Pinkerton's site, like these Spiderman strips. (Probably NSFW.)

At first I thought that they were simply re-captioned orginals, but clearly he's put in a lot more effort than that.
If only the new movie is this good.

His augmented and remixed trailer storyboards for Lost In Translation ("this summer, get translated!") had me hurtin'.

whoah, it's original art? i thought they were re-captioned originals as well. reminds me of David Rees' cartoons (which I shall not link to lest I risk immediate revokation of my MeFi account)

Excellent. Read like 70's era National Lampoon!

I don't think it's original art, but it is original in that there's been some extensive editing/remixing of existing art.
Agreed -- very funny stuff!

This is great stuff. I also enjoyed seeing the Fantastic 4 go see their movie.

I say we take off and nuke Smallville from orbit. It's the only way to be sure.

Terrific rewrite, but if the art is still under copyright it'll probably get a cease and desist notice and be forced offline. Even if the art is "original", the brand is already owned. Enjoy it while it lasts!

The art isn't original, at least most of it isn't. Compare these.

Marked it as a double earlier. I thought it was an FPP. Found the comment here.

For chrissakes, don't mark things as doubles unless you have proof. Otherwise you're just being a dick.

For real, not cool.
I wonder if he hand-letters all the new text, or if there is actually a good version of comic sans floating around out there.

Ok, but I posted the proof. Or is linking to multiple separate parts of that site not a double? Especially when that content has been pointed out before? I'm not being nasty; I'm asking. But I flagged it, so it's up to Matt to decide if it constitutes a double. It's a double in my subjective reality, at least.

Ah, you misunderstand the rule then. Double posts are only about posts; it's OK to post something that's just been in a comment.

Alright. Sorry about the confusion. I wouldn't have flagged it unless I was 100% sure I saw it on MeFi. I thought that since the domain had already been linked it was off limits. Thanks for the clarification. Obviously, people liked the FPP, so no harm; no foul.

The JP forums have a lot of good stuff in 'em, too: Movies in Foreign Lands / Embarassing Screenshots. The Complete News Skim has been linked here before but is a classic.
