He is “fine” by a certain very technical definition of “fine” which indicates he didn’t kill himself and do a header on the bathroom tile. Hillarious trip report from scotto on erowid.
Erowid previously here and here.
Despite the one dreadful sentence, I thought it was quite good. Damn near had a flashback myself.

forallmankind, that was really one of the worst comments I've ever read.

Forallmankind: it sounds like it was written in an altered (sped up) mental state but beyond that I thought it was fine. I skipped the beginning of the article and went right for the good stuff, and it was an engaging read.

Dreadful writing in the link or no, let's applaud lalochezia for starting the MetaFilter tags: "amt," "insufflation," "rectalingestion," "erowid," and "myfaceismelting." This contribution to the community is a true milestone in the collaborative drug blogging folksonomy.
And I'd say the best sentence in the link is: "The nearest coffee shop at this point is too far away; the whole point of getting to work at 8am is to leave by 4pm so that he can be getting high as early in the day as possible, because AMT lasts forever and he has shit to do this weekend." Sure, it's a blatant run-on, but I think that's appropriate in a sentence about AMT. ;>

Why on earth would somebody do that to themselves intentionally?
There are other things out there that are easier to get and aren't nearly the hassle to ingest.

Btw, some of the stuff in the archives is very funny, too.

Jbrjake - I agree wholeheartely with your last sentence, and would argue that run-on sentences are the only appropriate form of communication when discussing AMT!

Geez, people, it takes less than 5 minutes to read the whole thing. Weren't you forced to read any Dickens in high school? That's dreadful.
This article is just a basic blog-post, and is much more carefully and thoughtfully written than the vast majority of such posts linked on MeFi. Writing convincingly about altered mental states is not an easy task, and this one was relatively successful.
