Wannaspell is a white board free-for-all where you fight to get you message heard.
This is surprisingly fun

Surprisingly fun indeed! I enjoyed just thwarting people who were trying to write dirty words (though, one guy just wrote "I pity the fool"... now that is quality!

Superb! Especially satisfying when someone figures out what you're trying to write and helps gather the letters.

Alright, fess up. Who was involved in the mass fight to keep the word 'metafilter' untouched in room 2?

When I click on the English button, all I get is "You are not authorized to view this page". Perhaps it doesn't approve of South African IP numbers.

Wasn't there something like this around ages ago, using fridge-magnet letter styled icons? Ah yes...

Fun. Started putting unused letters in order and the whole room joined and everything was put in order.
Easier to spell stuff, that way.

Cool. I made"Metafilter!" just now, and someone dragged a celebraory question mark over it, as if it were an interrobang.
(And yes we've seen this before and yes who cares)

This was pretty funny although I must say I don't understand the people who seem to be dragging around letters without trying to write something.
Also, why was "DRINK PEPSI BLUE" dismantled so quickly!? :-)

this was awesome.
there was a mass brawl in room 1 right now. it's got the most people, and we were fighting to get the letters in the bottom right quadrant as people were fighting to get them elsewhere. good times!

Well, it's fun for a while, but the person who insists on making sure the word "c*nt" in various forms (including "c*ntsoup," ewww) is always there is kind of annoying.

I don't know. C*nt soup brought to my mind the fable of stone soup, except even more funny... a traveller went to a village hungry, and he offered to make his host some c*unt soup. "All I need is a c*unt, he began..."

It's got rude because it's appeared on Popbitch. They're all in the German rooms now if you want to see full on filthy letters.

If you start dragging letters into one big unreadable pile then eventually it turns into a pilers-vs-unpilers match which is much more fun than actually making words!

I hate these things...if I'm going to spend my time creating something I want to not have to fight some doofus trying to spell 'motherfucker'.
Of course, I think I was born without the competition gene.

This was great last year - and I mean that in the least facetious way. Now its back, and if I didn't have to go to work I'd play. I hope in the future the entire internet is fridge magnets and neo-nazi epithets... and one guy or maybe twenty who can't stop spelling "KOREA," what the hell?
Try drawing pictures with the letters. My friend and I took over a fridge and made everyone work together to draw a kitty.

This is great fun - I started out trying to be constructive, spelling out cool phrases, thwarting people trying to swear etc, but after 5 minutes my latent sense of destruction emerged and I just disrupted everyone else. Sad how quickly the veneer of civilisation disintegrates... great post though.
