I sense a lot of bong humor is on its way.

I personally find John Valadez and Mel Casas to be the most compelling traditional painters in the show, but there was also a really interesting piece with a lot of handmade glass by Einar and Jamax de la Torte (no pictures, unfortunately).

Though, looking at the roster, they may have been a San Diego-only piece. I recall them being locals. Might also have the names wrong. Who knows.

I remember Cheech on Celebrity Jeopardy years ago. He kicked everyone's ass.

Probably from the show Cheech did last year at the San Diego Museum of Contemporary Art. It was an incredible show. It not only showcased Chicano art, it also had interactive multi media pieces that were able to tie in the many facets of chicano/latino culture. (Music, lowriders, traditions and myths.) Sadly, I can't find any pics, and didn't take any at the time.

I can't decide if that lowrider hitler is derail, noise, or offensive content
I've seen some of the stuff Mr. Marin has in personal collection, he is a much better art collector than actor

Well, it's the only time I could post that without it being totally off topic, as per 5th link... but it is noisy, I'll admit.

The US Army as the sponsor of Lowrider's videos section is also kind of interesting... do they sponsor lots of 'sports'? Are lowrider fans really that much more likely to join the army?

Not sure how Adolf fits in with low riders, but I always find low riders hilarious.

And remember, no matter what you read on rotten.com, Cheech is not Iranian.

Are a Matisse and a Shelby Cobra also the same things?
