1 DEPLOY GUNS AND BADGES. Josh Bolten's Five Point Plan is in full effect. "It'll be more guys with guns and badges," said a proponent of the plan. "Think of the visuals. The President can go down and meet with the new recruits. He can go down to the border and meet with a bunch of guys and go ride around on an ATV."
That't no ATV, golf cart, or even a dune buggy. Technically it is a "sand rail". I tried to find out who makes it but had no google luck.

I see they found somebody qualified to clear brush in order to better spot the illegals.

The Bolten Plan
..1 DEPLOY GUNS AND BADGES.
..2 MAKE WALL STREET HAPPY.
..3 BRAG MORE.
..4 RECLAIM SECURITY CREDIBILITY.
..5 COURT THE PRESS.
It's so crazy it just might work.. I sure hope they're paying this Bolten guy enough.

That's the killer quote that may win the next election.
Someone needs to illustrate it with a good picture of Bush II against the Rio Grande border guard stations.
Anyone besides me old enough to remember the 1960s, when "That Was The Week That Was" was on TV in the US?
I recall they did a White House Press Conference sketch in which the representative kept slipping more and more outrageous bits of info about the [Vietnam] war in as though they were no surprise, and the press got increasingly outraged and eventually demanded that the President come out and explain what was going on. And the press rep refused to call him, saying:
"What?! You can't expect me to interrupt the President while he's visiting the front lines in California??"
And now, it's happened.

My apologies, I really didn't mean for this to be a Fark thread. I just wanted to point out the ridiculous literalization of the new strategy. I guess some graphic ridicule in response was inevitable. Oh well, live & learn. I did like the moon buggy, though.

Last summer, some friends and I went to see Treasure of the Sierra Madre, from which the "stinkin' badges" meme originated. We made t-shirts! The best line in the movie, though, was one that was unintentionally funny: "Can't you see the old man's nuts?" < /offtopic>>

Why does President Bush think he can secure the US borders when he hasn't been able to secure the borders in Afghanistan and Iraq? Securing borders isn't his strong suit.

My guess would be Chenowth racing. They have that somewhat distinctive cover of the front shocks and it looks rather like their Advanced Light Strike Vehicle.

While most conservatives realize this is just a ploy to make it look like Bush is interested in securing our borders, many "liberals" are a bit confused. They don't seem to realize that they're on Bush's side when it comes to massive legal and illegal immigration.
For instance, the Senate bill that Bush seems to support was to allow up to 100 million legal immigrants over the next 20 years. They've now reduced that to 66 million over 20 years.
And, that doesn't count all the illegal aliens who'd come here to take part in future amnesties.
Why make fun of Bush? He's on your side.
