Sprinkle Brigade is brilliant, gross, and kinda NSFW. A comparable project was previously mentioned on MeFi. It would be too funny if certain comments had spurred this new development.
There are parts of this town where, if you take a picture of a dog turd, others will notice and start doing it, too.

Y'know, there are some things that are just so stupid and low that, well, you just have to chuckle.
But this is just stupid and low.

I actually thought some of these were kind of funny, but then they're close up photos of poop with amusing props added by the artist. Go wide and they're just more crap on the sidewalk that someone has to clean up. Maybe jonmc had a point?

My understanding is that the folks behind this aren't responsible for the shit, they are just finding it there. I appreciate the gesture. There's stray shit everywhere in my neighborhood, and if I saw one with googly eyes it would pretty much make my day.

TonyRoberts is right. This group operates in NYC, where there's a constant battle between normal people and those who think it's ok that strangers have to step in their dog's shit.
It's just a little merrymaking, is all.

A couple of them were really funny... the table settings and the NASA pic made me laugh out loud.
Good shit.

I have to say, I think these are hilarious.
Maybe I just think dog poop is funny.
Time for some introspection.

Ugh. I didn't even realize Screenhead, which I adored, still “existed” once the old RSS feed stopped updating. This zombie version must be destroyed. AIM FOR THE HEAD.
Oh, and re Sploid:

Two blogs that were too classy for this world.

Mildly amusing. I've thought of doing something similar myself, as an nonconfrontational protest. Sadly I moved to much nicer neighbourhood. So haven't yet indulged my obvious penchant for tarting up dog shit with whimsical props in the rougher parts of town.

One ought to reflect on Piss Christ^, Jyllands-Posten's Muhammad cartoons^, and Ecce Homo^. And if you've ever imagien the U.S. has religious freedom, notice how the Swedish were able to exhibited Ecce Homo in churches.

Without clicking the links, I was convinced this post had something to do with Annie Sprinkle.
That would've been better, btw.
