Carnets de voyage : illustrated notebooks of travel (french site)
Those are nice! I'm too tired to read French right now so I'm just clicking random things, but I'm seeing pretty notebook pages so I must be doing it right.

I originally thought this was a link to a book by Craig Thompson of a similar name.
My wife loves all of his books, which are bitter-sweet and largely autobiographical (with some exceptions). Her favorite is by far this one.
They are a perfect gateway drug to get girls into comics, especially if followed by an excellent female dominated series.
The writing in all of the above links is excellent, with art to match.
