Why make it simple when it can be complicated?

JJ Casalonga's Gallery of Odd Watches contains a number of rare and esoteric designs. Some are conventional but for being nearly transparent or made of wood, while others are truly bizarre and impractical. Is this what the timecube guy wears? Don't miss the Bolshevik counter-clockwise design.

An interesting collection.

The wooden watch reminded me of the first clocks made by John Harrison. One of which is stored at Worshipful Company of Clockmakers.

I like the PP Cobra. That's a cool little device, there. And it's called Cobra.

The migraine watch is cool, but I think I could do without the flaming orbit feature.

The watch fetishism of old rich men usually disgusts me, but for some reason I need to own that backward Bolshevik watch.

I don't see what's so impractical about the one linked to with the word 'impractical'. It would be hard to read in poor lighting, sure, but it actually looks like a nice, sleek design to me.

Impractical watch tells me it is 5:10 Happy Hour! This watch however uses local colloquialisms to tell the time. Very practical unless you never learned to tell time that way.

Very neat link. Thanks. That is a pretty odd batch of watches.

There is a little overlap at the Watchismo online gallery. I've posted that link here before, but it seems like a good supplement.
