After the holiday sweeties we ponder the age-old question: Can fish smell snickerdoodles?
If the scientists are finding vanilla and cinnamon, but not pumpkin or cranberry, there's something wrong with their research. posted by wendell
No wonder. I don't know where pumpkin is, but cranberry is over 100 miles south of their research area.

Wait...
We're testing for cinnamon? Who actually said, "well, we have a limited number of chemical compounds against which we should regularly check - let's include PCBs, dioxins, petroleum products - oh, yeah, and cinnamon."

Well, cinnamon is an ani-oxidant, anti-microbial, and an insectiside so it probably kills off the beneficial stuff, too.
