P-Funk. Uncut Funk. The Bomb.

The Awesome Power of a Fully Operational Mothership First, there comes the Brides, followed by stretchin' out with Casper the Holy Ghost and some Horny Horns. Next, with
people standing on the
verge, the Wizard of Woo opens the Maggot Brain. A devil-dance later, all are witnesses to The Landing. The recovery of funky stuff commences, and
the mother is summarily
turned out, with subsequent damage to the roof. (YouTube)
I've apparently bungled my attempt at adding descriptive titles to the links (is nicetitle a misnomer?), hence an index of clips:

I think the rule for long youtube posts should be that they must include a master playlist where you can just hit play and all the videos will play one after another. This endless clicking shit is giving me RSI.
But what the hell, I was just in the mood for some funk.

I saw an interview with bluesplayer Jonny Lang who said his favorite music to play was funk.
I agree.

Ok, I made a playlist for everything but the documentary. Thanks, Linus. Everyone else, enjoy.

This is great. Just watched the "One Nation" doc. Any idea on where to find a higher resolution version? I tried to see if I could order it, but...

Enron Hubbard: "I saw an interview with bluesplayer Jonny Lang who said his favorite music to play was funk."
Just about every musician I've ever played with would second that sentiment. Playing with a good funk band is better than sex.

A while back somebody posted an ultimate trio funk show. Does anybody have a link handy? It was from some awards show or something...

I wish I could remember where I read this, but there was an MRI study done showing that sex and music stimulate the same parts of the brain. Yourself and George Clinton ("Free your mind, and your ass will follow!") are both absolutely correct.
