Powering Europe by Concentrating Solar Thermal Power from the Sahara

Just thought that as many people as possible should know - about this great way of powering the whole of Europe by Solar. Take a look and maybe get in on the action by letting as many politicians in your country know about it as possible. It will take investment and co-operation but we really need to get moving on covering ourselves energy-wise.

If someone cares more about Wikipedia than I do, you probably should check out the history of that page and the person primarily editing it, who seems to have a deep connection to the company (user page is in German, so I'm not 100% sure).

The wiki author does have a group connection--the main author, according to his page, is Michael Straub, which is also the name of the "Webmaster and Marketig Advisor of TREC", according to the member list. I can't speak to how that might affect legitimacy.

Yuck, it looks like someone pasted a press-release into Wikipedia. That's pretty lame, IMO.

I just think that as many people as possible should know about what I had for lunch today. Still would have been a better FPP.

Well the alternative would be micro generation but Monbiot thinks the sums for that dont add up.

Solar power in homes would be nice, but too many small wind turbines would be bad for birds, don't you think? How else would we micro generate? Hydrogen powered generators? Then how do you distribute the hydrogen? People drive their cars to the station and pick it up, and drive home?
Might as well stick with electrical distribution, I think the scale efficiencies would be a lot better, especially with nuclear power.
Maybe we could give every home pebble bed reactors...
