Cyriak's animation mix an excellent montage of animated gifs by a true master of the form. (youtube)
Mach5--that soundtrack is actually available on his site in the Music section, it's the "No More Memory" one.
I loved the video also.

The animation is extremely well done in a very wonderfully simplistic way. But I found the music both appropriate, and totally irritating. I would have used the idea of animated gifs being a parallel to silent films and borrowed the idea of a piano as a soundtrack.
The Midi crap just left me cold. The music worked well enough, but it could have been better.
[Watched the video at work with no sound and loved it. Watched the video at home with the music and wanted to hurt people.]

Good stuff. Makes me want to get off my duff and make some of my own. I liked those "fractal" gifs of the tri-headed teddy bear the most.

Reminds me of Terry Gilliam. Cool 5 minutes of video.

Yay! I've always like his stuff.
And may I just point out that he is a Brightoner (UK that is) and even made it onto the local BBC news once.

I agree with yobananboy. I did not hear the tunes -- but did not need them -- as well I liked the VW Dung Beetle.

Having seen these all over the internets and finding out that all these come from the same guy is like when I heard that all the acid in the US was made by the same guy. It explained a lot and similarly warped my brain.

Yay! New nightmare fodder! My favorite was the alien Santa horking up Christmas gifts.
