Into Thick Air: Sunflower, Mountain Of Doom To climb Mount Sunflower is to enter the forbidden realm of the heavens. Only those willing to accept the consequences should venture there.
In early April 1998, five brave men trekked to the highest point in Kansas, Mount Sunflower (4039 feet above sea level). Read all about their exciting journey, from base camp to summit. Also featured in The Rational Neo-Graphic Magazine.

That's OK, it's a rite of passage. Just be sure to show up in the Gray Room for your flogging. No whining, or you get the bucket.

Well, I missed it the first time, and personally thank you for screwing up and defiling the Blue with your egregious error. Great link, both times.

I definitely can't give her a hard time... the dupe article is so vague I don't see how anyone could avoid reposting. Metafilter's URL dupe finder didn't catch the slight variation, either. This new article, however, says Kansas and Mt. Sunflower and I'm sure will come up a lot easier in searches.

Thanks for the support... I did search for the URL and the tags, and didn't see the original post at all.

Even if this post is probably getting deleted, I have to hope aloud that maybe these guys'll tackle Ebright Azimuth next.

Oh, I've climbed Mount Sunflower a few times. I got chigger bites one time, it was grueling.
