Feet are useful!

Mum with no arms changes baby's nappy with her feet. There's something really unnerving about this (rather old) video, but it sure puts Gondry to shame.
...And I highly doubt she's just filming in reverse :-)

Stunning how exceptional cases can showcase the latent utility of our bodies. (Cue My Left Foot, of course.)

That baby sure is well behaved during the diaper change. My squirming/thrashing 14 month old daughter would give this woman a run for her money. (Still very impressive, though...)

The distribution of brain area to body surface area is called the Homonuculus, and you can see in this illustration how it's distributed. but how the area is distributed is also somewhat defined by how it's used. So if you use a certain part of your body more then another part, that part in your homunculus will actually grow, that's one of the reasons that she's able to do so much with her feet.

She's got the heart of a champion!
I tried not to type this. I really did.

I don't know if I'm more amazed by her pedal dexterity, or by how goddamn still and cooperative her baby is. It takes two of us with two working hands each just to put my kid's trousers on.

Holy cow, I recognize this woman! I waited on her more than once at a restaurant in AZ years ago. I wasn't sure it was her until I checked out the pics on her site to see whether her hair used to be really short and blonde.

Delmoi: some of it is dependent on rewiring the brain, but I wouldn't be surprised if that kid grows up with at least some dexterity in his feet.

I'm not so impressed with the diaper changing as I am with her ability to close the snaps on the baby's onesie. And picking up the baby out of the crib with just her chin and shoulders...now that takes talent.
