Behold the power of cheddar vision

Watch cheese age. Cheddarvision.tv is apparently an internet phenomenon. It is the latest in a long line of spectacularly boring webcam sites, and is being hailed as the next Cambridge University coffee pot. Can't stand to wait in this Web 2.0 world? Become the cheddar's friend on myspace or watch the cheddar in timelapse [YouTube]. Be warned if you watch the video: "Highlights have included someone putting a sticker on the piece of cheese, and the sticker almost falling off," so brace yourself. What's your most boring of the web?

That's so cheesy!

Sorry, someone had to say it.

It has been like 12 years since that damn coffee pot became a meme. It was pretty much the first novelty webcam right?

I keep asking for the Watch Paint Dry Channel, but my cable company won't carry it.

Well, the dullest blog in the world has been around for a few years.

Paint doesn't make a lot of noise while it's drying. You have to turn up the volume.

Shit-- I checked back here to get some help and I missed the best part.
Thanks for nothing.

ZomboCom is the most anything and everything of the web.

Whoa... I saw the time lapse of that cheese on youtube last week. I had no idea that there was a camera where you could watch it age in real time. That is... that is crazy. Yet somehow I cannot disapprove. You scuzzy old timers who have been on the interblagotubes before I knew how to type properly may have worn the novelty on this stuff thin by now, but I certainly find this fascinating.

I mean, it is cheese twenty-four seven.

Like some kind of commentary on human existence.

Not really much different than watching CNN for over 3 minutes. The same thing over and over and over and over....

I bought the cheese! 6 varieties of handmade farmhouse cheese cheap and really not bad at all. Delivered in a week or so with Easter in between. So far the favourite is the Red Leicester. Good with beer, wine and old Scotch (not at the same time, obviously). Go for it!

Things on the internet more boring than watching cheddar cheese age:

1. Another MeFi debate on whether New York City is still as cool as it was in the 70s/80s

2. Another MeFi debate on whether X band is teh suck or teh balls

3. Pictures of ANS's baby

4. Pictures of Suri Cruise on her 1st birthday

Wow. What's old is new again. First it was the ungodly shitty "web design" and templates on myspace that were full of crap we tried to abolish in the late 90s, and now the silly webcams are back.

Next we'll see a big JenniCam revival. Heh.
