Two peregrine falcon chicks hatched today (almost) live on downtown Indianapolis' FalconCam. Yay! They're very cute, but the parent sits on them a lot.
At the moment, San Francisco's FalconCam is focused on a lonley egg.
Yay falcons, and extra yay for nest cams. Teh internets are good for something!

This site had been following a pair of bald eagles and their two chicks in Maine. The chicks died of exposure during the massive nor'easter that blew through New England last week.
While it is extremely rare for eagles to re-mate in a season, it seems like this pair might be trying again.

Wow, this must be peregrene falcon day -- a peregrene chick hatched this morning in downtown Cleveland (webcam). Still waiting on the other two eggs...
I don't get a say in this kind of stuff, but I'm pulling for calling him (or her) 'Lil Dennis Kuchinich.

...Although I just realized that Kucinich and "hawk" don't really go well together.

Well that's gratitude for ya. Can't someone get out there and prod them with a long stick or something?
