Jack's

Jack's back! Woohoo! ...looks like he's decided to pull a "click and mortar" on us: his new site is a supplemental to his zine. Very exciting. Welcome back, Jack!
Yes, it is rather small, no? I seem to be lost on your Matt Groening reference though. I don't really follow blogs, so, was he away? or?
Btw, is it strange that he reminds me of Dave Grohl of Foo Fighters? Mefi seems to be big on that, remind you of Dave, who is incredibly hot, dontyouthink?

Tiaka, Eye-strain-o-vision was from a Simpsons episode, no?

What is the deal with tiny print? It seems to be the latest thing in web design. Did I miss a memo?

Supplement to "wagnc"? How do you pronounce that? Wank?

Actually, I lifted "Eye-strain-o-vision" from one of the Life In Hell books (can't remember which).

Jack looks like Bob Geldoff to me. :)
And I agree. The tiny font—especially combined with the 3 columns—make the site extremely hard on the eyes.

eye-strain-o-vision is a technique used to make sure only 1337 people can read your site, as their eyes and been honed on hours upon days upon weeks of consistent CRT conditioning. ph33r |v|4D 3y3 57r41|\|!

Is everyone that's complaining about eyestrain on a Mac? I use a Mac for all my surfing, and I'm used to squinting on just about anything designed for "reasonable" viewing on PCs...
*sigh*
Thank heaven for the font tweaking feature on both Netscape and IE.

Nah, it's a mite smallish for my preferences on a PC also. Mind you, I've also got my resolution cranked, so it's probably much smaller than a normal person's. :-)

Damn, is Jakob on MeFi now? Doesn't he hate the non-standard colour scheme enough to stay away?
In any case, I agree on the eye-strain comments. Is 1024*768 so unusual for PCers these days that the teenyness of 10pt (or whatever) isn't contemplated?

i don't really mind the font size, but there's no way it's 10 pt. i've got my mefi prefs set to 8pt and that's a lot smaller. i think it's font size=1 rather than a style sheet pt-system of sizing.

This is sort of on the subject. I'm not able to make a front page post yet. But it looks like Megnut is gone. The pioneers are falling.

Hey! Me and Jack have the same birthday 10 years apart. And we both like the same grape flavored indie rock, must be an Aries thing.

From Meg's source. People take breaks. Most of the time they come back, like Jack did. I bet Meg comes back when she has something good to say. :-)

I saw that comment as well. Seems like another reminder that some good folks lost a lot more than just a job.
