An Unsolved Killing

An Unsolved Killing. Tom Wales, a 49-year-old Assistant US Attorney, was murdered in Seattle's Queen Anne neighborhood on October 11, 2001, and the case is getting cold. Former U.S. attorney John McKay was fired in March 2005 in part for pressing for a more active investigation.
No Justice official traveled from Washington for Wales's memorial service, Mandigo said, "which I don't think set a very good tone."
Cold. And: I'm not coming to your funeral if it's going to be a Mandingo party.

As pretextual firing decisions go, "you investigated a prosecutor's murder too vigorously" is definitely one of the stupidest.

Your reasoning being? (Not that I've read the articles yet, I simply doubt you did or you'd actually have something to say...)

Sometimes when someone points out an article like this to me, it truly strikes me as bizarre that it doesn't happen more often.
Seriously, how come common drug dealers who've been put away don't come around to the house of their prosecutor?
Or do they?

Also, the contrast between the writing between the first two links is striking. Is the author of that Seattle Weekly a gainfully employed writer? Because he sucks.

Because it is his fault he couldn't detect the 1% tilt in your font that indicated sarcasm.
