two months later, we both believed we were in love

My Little Dead Dick is the visual diary of photographers Madi Ju of China and Patrick Tsai of the USA. They got together on July 17, 2006, when they both traveled to Macau in order to meet face-to-face after a month of intense internet correspondence.

After nine days, they went back to their own countries, quit their jobs, settled their accounts, and said good-bye to their friends and loved ones to pursue their dreams of a life spent together taking photos.

Whoa, nelly. A little NSFW would have gone a long way.

Very self indulgent. Which is fine I guess.

The comments at viceland are hilarious. LMAO

so, yet another couple that is so "into" one another they use words like "lover" and "lovemaking"?

you can almost smell the wet sound of queef withdrawals between these 2 funky breathed "artists"

"intense internet correspondence"?

It looks like they were Running the Red Light. I can't believe this naked ass dude has a Leica. Bastard. There are actually a few good photos. And a lot of photos of the dudes schlong, or the chick in warm light.

Nine days? Lucky bastards. It's going to take me another 5 months to settle my accounts.

Great photos, though!

sheesh! it aint no 10PM over here in the land of fruits 'n nuts

seriously though WTF? i mean its great that they're all into each other and shit but isnt this the kind of thing that lands you right in prison over in china?

or is that only if you criticize the government while taking nekkid pictures of yourself?

If this was the plot for a indie movie, it would be critized for being totally unrealistic and maybe a bit pretentious. Two years later, Hollywood would do a remake starring Meg Ryan and Tom Hanks and on The Oprah Show, Meg Ryan would say: "I instantly fell in love with the script because, you know, stuff like this doesn't happen in real life yet... it's so very possible somehow." Then all of the indie people would diss the movie for being commercial and lacking the "honesty" and "integrity" of the original movie. Obviously, a mefite would create a FPP out of the whole thing.

I'm waiting for the follow-up, when the profundity of Blood and Nakedness wears itself out.

Did this remind anyone else of The Dreamers?

I started getting that sense in the beginning, but after I saw the naked + blood shots, it really made me look at the photoset as a still frame mockup japanese redub of that film.

Just not as you know, good. Or having like...a message.

< snark>

Hopefully, their artistic partnership will someday result in a photo like this. In the meantime, we need to see a) less skin and more art or, b) more boobies.

Twenty bucks sez this ends in murder, cannibalism, and more shitty photos.

Yeah... good luck trying to make a living off that... but the pictures are really pretty banal. Meh.

I wish them luck, but perhaps if they took pictures of things that were interesting...?

Love consists primarily not of gazing inwardly at each other, but of gazing outward, together.

I must agree. As romantic and fun as it seems, they obviously didn't think their clever little plan all the way through. The photos are mostly the terrible vacation type with a bit of cock thrown in for novelty value. Though, really, the novelty value of cock (or even slug porn) on the internet hasn't been very much since vga was invented.

When it's called "My Little Dead Dick" and there's photos of some guy's bits all over the place ... does it not make it seem like his bits are dead? Y'know, people shouldn't really go around splashing that bit of info to the public.
