I'd love to post a YouTube link to Billie Holiday doing Stormy Monday, but alas, ain't one. Reckon if there was you'd've found it, poolio. Gonna go check out T-Bone's, though!

You'll note I linked to a cheesy movie titled "Stormy Monday". Why? Not sure. Momentary lapse of judgement, most likely.

No... I didn't see a Billie Holiday version... but I did find this version by Albert King & Steve Ray Vaughn you might like.
FYI, I intentionally kept the links in the FPP to the original singers rather than include any covers.

There's a couple of times in the "bitch" clip when Jason Jones' camerman throws out the beginning of a scripted question to ask Carl. I could be misreading his body language, but Jones almost seems annoyed by it. It's interesting to see an unedited clip.

I think that's very cool. The T-Bone Burnett was mighty fine, and so was the Albert King clip. King is one of the only people I know of who played a Flying V that I'd care to listen to on anything like a regular basis.

True, but for proper credit it should be said that "Manic Monday" was written by Prince, not the Bangles.

That's why I said original singers... although I suppose Prince might've sung it to Susanna Hoffs before she ever sung it. :)

Blue Monday, Fats Domino
I don't think I've ever seen a YouTube video of a 45 spinning before.

Can't forget Corbin Hanner's "Work Song", for any Pittsburghers in the house. Can't find a clip on YouTube, unfortunately.
