Real Live Ghost Busters?

Real live ghost busters? Penn State's Paranormal Research Society supplies crucial ghost busting services to students and local law enforcement, including a paranormal counselor and assistance in searching for the missing Cindy Song. They also host the only academic conference on paranormal activity in the country.
Princeton does this too. Or did. *cough* *clears throat* Why didn't they see that coming?

I took a course called "Religion and the Paranormal" in the Catholic college I attended. The professor was a Friar. Whenever a student would be absent from class, he would try to get us all to wake the presumably sleeping student with our collective telepathic powers.
Sometimes I marvel at the things I received college credit for.

This isn't a department or program at Penn State. It's a student group. Why is this being presented as Penn State research? The site is a dot com, not an edu. It's no more a program at Penn State than the Penn State NORML group or the Three Broomsticks Harry Potter society.
It's bullshit to link this to the university's academic programs. This month alone Penn State Faculty just figured out what what is probably causing CCD and discovered the largest collection of Homo erectus fossils ever. Let students be students. This has nothing to do with Penn States credentials. It has to do with their tolerance of their student's interest.
Penn sucks. Our football team could wipe the field with their Noble prize winning faculty. Except, of course, those who went to University of Michigan.

Toekneesan? The name of the group is Penn State Paranormal Research Society. If you object to their use of the name, take it up with them.

Penn State also has the only university-sponsored sleight-of-hand club in the country, to my knowledge.
Is that FPP-worthy?

As one of the founding members of the NAADDP (the National Association for the Advancement of Dead and Demonic People) I have to ask; Can't we all just be left alone?
Really, we have nothing to say, and nothing to show you. And even if we did, you wouldn't like anything we had to tell you.
Let it go. Trust us. You don't want to know.

Only if it comes with YouTube clips.

And here I thought this was about the Real Ghostbusters, not the Real Live Ghost Busters.
Is there a difference? Of course there's a difference. Think Stay Puft. Or, actually, better not.

Ghosts are not real.
Sadly, the same cannot be said of Lionel Ritchie. Yet.
