Very well done by the artist. I just can't put a finger on it, but something about these Pez bothers me. Odd.

I stashed smokes in a pez dispenser as a teenager. Not many, obviously. I seem to recall cloves would not fit.

Arty in a very good and cool way. I love it -- so high-brow anarchy...

This one would make a great holiday card.
Side Note: I'm not even close to a frequent poster (though I am a serious lurker), so feel free to disregard this curmudgeonly complaint.
I just happen to think that--in the same way posting recent Onion headlines is sort of taboo here on Metafilter--posting things that were just on BoingBoing.net earlier today should be also.
PLEASE UNDERSTAND THAT I KNOW THIS IS A JERKY COMPLAINT.
I am a very reluctant jerk, whose credibility is marred because he doesn't post very often at all.

I just saw a commercial on television for a new crayola modeling clay product. In it, a child makes several different fantastic creatures, one of which looks strikingly like Pazuzu.
I now want a Pazuzu Pez dispenser.
Pezuzu.

Some of these are so wrong, but I love them!
It inspires me to possibly open the packaging on my Hello Kitty Pez dispenser and mutilate it in some horrid way. Perhaps that would get the point across to my friends that I don't want to own every single plastic thing on the planet featuring Hello Kitty. All I really want are the small appliances.
And now for a tired refrain: Not everyone reads Boing Boing, and it's entirely possible to find the same links without ever reading Boing Boing. Had it not been linked here, I might not have seen it. Then I would have been sad.

If you ever make it to San Carlos, CA (1/2 way between San Fran and Silicon Valley), make sure to stop by the Pez museum. It is just a small room, but there's this tall guy wearing colorful clothes who's a complete Pez fanatic and he tells you all these stories about the many Pez(es) and old toys and games in the room--including the original factory Pez sign, which he bought off E-Bay, ironically enough.
You learn interesting things like how E-Bay started with Pez. Some guy's girlfriend was a Pez collector. He created a web site so she could trade Pez(es) with people, and the next thing you know it turned into E-Bay. Also interesting was the Pez gun that would shoot them into your mouth (didn't last long for obvious reasons).
Just what is the plural for Pez anyway?

I think the plural of Pez is Pez. Like deer or fish.

Yep, Pez Museum is in Burlingame, about 18m south of SF. I live about ten blocks away from it. Their collection is pretty huge.
I really liked this. I love the subtle changes, some of them were very clever and creative, yet simple. For example, I liked how they simply made the tasmanian devil shorter. Because he's clearly just an angry little man.

eye of newt: from Wikipedia:
The frequently repeated story that eBay was founded to help Omidyar's fiancée trade PEZ Candy dispensers was fabricated by a public relations manager in 1997 to interest the media. This was revealed in Adam Cohen's 2002 book[3] and confirmed by eBay.

Not at all, I understand where you're coming from. But, like a few others, I'm one of those people who once checked BB daily, and now I'm lucky I check it once a week. I honestly had no idea this was there earlier.
Still, fun stuff. The S&M Mickey has got to be my favorite. I'm glad everyone liked these. They're really hilarious.
