Design consultancies start with a series of "contextual inquiries" to see what's going on in the target consumer's work or home environment.
Heh, so there are actually people out there using contextual design. WOSH!

Heh, I agree the device is pretty stupid. Lots of expensive hard drives already have multiple interfaces, and you can always just make various types of adapters.
