And So This Is Christmas?

George W. Bush covers John Lennon's War Is Over (If You Want It) in a collaboration with Wax Audio. Another coverversion of John Lennon's God is included on the B-side of the new limited edition 45. On the other hand, Yoko sez, "Vote Kucinich!" (previously on Mefi)
It is worth pointing out (cos I was going to do a post on this), that the Wax Audio link will take you to a new free album of his stuff (in addition to a previous album and EP), including a challenging piece on the Cronulla riots, for the Aussies out there.

The "previously" link was a remix of one of rx's works.

What better way to fight the 'War on Christmas' than with a war on Christmas?

Amazing collage.
Like, 15 years ago I had this program that ran on super-old Macs called SimBush that eerily replicated Bush I's weird speech and could babble on and on by stringing together a bunch of phrases. Is there a flash or similar out there that does it for his son? I've seen the text generators, and the user-driven soundboards, but I'm looking for something more iterative and acoustic.

My god, I remember SimBush also - it's sad to think that the Bush legacy has existed for so long... Why can't the Bushes all just go quail hunting with Cheney? I'm including G.W's father Barbara as well.

That was very well done. And very depressing.

Bush-43 makes me positively nostalgic for Bush-41.

Good. I thought it was only Ecuador that had singing presidents.

Is this going to be another one of those stupid things where they splice together George Bush from different speeches to make him speak the words of a song that somehow seems ironically inappropriate for him to be singing?
Because those things are fucking stupid.

Thanks for posting this - that 'Imagine' track was one of my favorites, last year, but I was unaware of the entire EP. There are several, great Bomb-Squad-like tracks in there. Thanks again!

The only thing that's stupid is the grin on my face every single time I hear George Bush say the word "duty" over and over and having it morph into the "doot do-doot do-doot" from "Take a Walk on the Wild Side" (mashed into rx's mix of George Bush doing "Imagine").
