NATE NOTES

"Nate Notes are crazed, obscene or blindingly profound 10x10 images that are born from blood, tears, and relentless toil. Sometimes they are funny. Please laugh at them."
What's so obscene about a guy waving a cell phone in the air?

I would prefer not to.

These are great. I was skeptical at first - then "whorse" won me over. It's a strange cross between Kliban, Natalie Dee and... uhhhh.... Dan Deacon, maybe?

I was with him up to "Raping Situation." That seemed a bit too 4chanesque for my taste. Or maybe I'm just not getting it.
Whorse was admittedly funny, though. As was the yellow-light one, more recently.
Anyway, cool link.

There's a bunch more on flickr. Some are mad funny. This one is pure Kliban.
The raping situation one made me wince. Oh well.

I can see this humor being borne from a long damp dim Northwest winter.

These are not funny. Maybe I need to smoke a lot of weed and be in a better mood.

He's right, you know. A friend of mine had a turtle. Cute little slider named Valentine. I got to thinking, hey, maybe he'd recognize me if I fed him. It went well, better than you'd think, until the day I learned a turtle's depth perception is iffy.
When there's a Red-Eared Slider with an eight-inch-wide shell hanging from your index finger by its toothless and yet surprisingly strong jaws, paddling its little turtle feet in the air, and it's all your fault, your mind goes perfectly blank from the surprise.
He let go eventually, which is good because nobody knew how to extricate me, and while he didn't break the skin I had this perfect red V-shaped mark on my finger. V for Valentine's Visually Impaired Vendetta.

I laughed at THIS one, but I'm sleep deprived and tend to go for the silly puns.

In what scale are these images 10x10?
Seconded, I'm wondering about that too.

They're funny, but don't they seem like they're lifting an awful lot from Natalie Dee?

Some of these would make a mean t-shirt.
I particularly enjoy this pomegranate one. What's the deal with the pomegranate anyway? I show up to my grocery store one day and the produce section has been taken over by pomegranate displays, posters, and pomegranates.

Pretty sophisticated for a middle schooler. Can't wait to see what he does when he matures and his art gets a lot less sucky. Until then, meh.

Sorry, people, could you lower your noses and your pinkie fingers? I can't see the screen.
Personally, I wish these were desktop-sized.

It's full of anti-oxidants, which are supposed to fend off cancer according to the medical crowd. Its also at least in part responsible for winter, according to the ancient Greek crowd.

I don't like joining in on snark, but I have to say I've seen a lot funnier, and a lot better drawn. But, they do have...uummm...nice bright colors?

I can only hope that this guy and Natalie Dee have a fight to the death over this. I'll be hard pressed to choose a side.

I won't lie; I laughed. "FAG EEL" is pretty great.
Weirdly enough, though, I can't stand Natalie Dee.
