Your first link goes to a picture of Jesus. Jesus' eyes follow my mouse cursor around. Then I can say something to him like "oui, monsieur" and he tells me something about Buddha.

Here is the Jesusbot in case the mods correct your first link. Jesusbot is terrible, and should therefore be checked out.

I love Aimee Mann, but it's my birthday weekend and all (on Monday), so I doubt I'll get around to checking these out til' Tuesday.

I once got yelled at by Aimee Mann, sort of. I dared to suggest that the chord changes to a song she was demoing reminded me of "Dear Prudence."
Memo to self: don't suggest Aimee Mann's music is even *slightly* derivative of anything.
It was over in a moment. Not a highlight, not a lowlight.

Man, I am SO glad you found this, adrober. I saw Mann's annual xmas show in L.A. in late November, and this was one of many highlights, i searched long & hard for the video. Glad someone finally uploaded it, and even more happy that it got brought to my attention!

Flagged as inscrutable in-jokes. It's like being a date at someone else's company Christmas party.

Huh. I just watched parts I and II, and then when I tried to watch the third one, "this video has been removed by the user." All three are gone now.

As a Personal Friend of Paul F. Tompkins(tm), I approve of his firstness in the listing. All listings of comedic talents including Mr. F. Tompkins shall be ranked in order of Tompkinsness, from greatest to least.
Thank You.

The links above, as well as the "Related Video" links on YouTube don't work. Here are links that work (as of now anyway)
Part One
Part Two
Part Three
They definitely have that "Curb Your Enthusiasm" vibe going. The highlights, in my opinion, are Patton Oswalt, Emily Proctor and Will Ferrell. I've seen Ben Stiller play the super-arrogant jerk several times now (Curb, Extras, etc.) it's making me wonder if either (a) he's the super nicest person in Hollywood so making him play the jerk is a reverse compliment about how nice he really is or (b)he really is kind of a jerk.
Aimee Mann btw does a better job "acting" in it than I anticipated.

Flagged as Aimee Mann is still hot at 47.
Kinda ageless even. John Krasinski is like 20 years younger than she is, and they're "friends." You go, girl!

cptspalding, I've read a story from assistant that worked on one of his movies once and he related that Stiller was a complete ass.
But then again whenever I hear something like that I take it with a grain of salt. As
Amy Sedaris once said "Maybe that person had a bad burrito that day."

She's married to (and has toured with, very enjoyably) Michael Penn, a fantastic recording artist in his own right.
Yes, Penn, as in Sean, etc

Oh, I didn't mean wink-wink-nudge-nudge "friend" by putting it in scare quotes- I meant, "friends" for the purposes of the film- like Michael Moore and Matt Stone are "friends," because I saw it them having coffee on Bowling for Columbine. You know, the way Vanilla Ice said that Lenny Kravitz was his "friend" once upon a time.
And I agree about Michael Penn, very underrated person.

Okay I almost didn't watch all three of them cuz parts of it dragged, and it felt like most of the scenes were not scripted but rather they improvised a couple hours each time and what we saw was the footage that the editor could actually work with. It's touch and go in a couple places. The Weird Al reveal was inspired tho. That made me laugh, so I kept at it. The end of it was sweet I thought. I think I can say the destination was worth the journey on this one. If only I coulda said the same for Matrix Three.

Director & DP Mike Blieden is one of my oldest friends, and has been developing this raw/docu/comedic style for years. If you enjoy this, you'll like Comedians of Comedy, Melvin Goes to Dinner, this Zach Galifianakis cover of an Anita Baker song, the Fiona Apple/Zach Galifianakis video, and the Kanye West/Zach Galifianakis video, all of which he directed, shot and edited.
I know the Aimee Mann video was a real coup for him, something he was truly thrilled about, since he and I both listened to her in high school and thought she was awesome then.
And yes, Aimee is married to Michael, who did the music for "Melvin Goes to Dinner", which is how Aimee met Blieden.
Hooray for Hollywood networking!

By the way, you can see a really really high quality HD version of this trilogy at Mike's site for his company, The Claw Productions. And a little background on how it came to be.
