Pants get in the way of disaster. Playing alone because then it ends when I say it ends. No one is there to pick you up. Don't be delicate; fuck me harder. So it turns out the blue is nsfw and not particularly funny tonight.

I like it. Let's hang out at that dead mall in Cupertino and throw bouncy balls all over the damn place, Adam.

I like that: "...fill in the blanks myself." I think it's fair to say that this is how people remember things anyway. To repurpose Scott McCloud lit theory, here's one image, and then here's the next, and then there are those gaps between the disjointed memories, and the mind fills the blanks -- usually with, not events, but a sense of 'ness,' of how things felt, rather than how they actually played out. I know I also have really strong nostalgia, strong emotional ties to really old games, not because of a specific event necessarily, but I do assign feelings, definitely, to specific images, and these are feelings that resound across time. Anyway.

I don't get video game nostalgia. I'm the exact right age for this, I played most of those games when they were new as a 10-14 year old. When I see them now, I just get depressed about how I wasted my precious youth indoors playing video games, 90% of which were total crap for which the game design was less important, skillful, and imaginative than their marketing.

Metroid was pretty cool though.
