JavaScript Style Sheets: the CSS that "coulda been". This brief read offers up an explanation as to why CSS support in Netscape 4.x is Quite Awful.

Interesting read. Whereas I had just chalked up the poor implementation of CSS due to timing, it kind of interested me to learn that it was due to the downing of a proposed standard, and the final solution was really poorly executed.

I suspect English is not the native language of the author. There are case mismatches and other grammatic issues.

This really lights a bulb. Ah, so that's why! I'm almost more impressed -- it being such an obvious kludge -- that it works at all.
