I didn't think they were photoshopped. I was under the impression they were that technique called HDR, which is something I really know nothing about but it probably does involve photoshop.
It's supposed to look the most realistic but most people seem to just bleach and contrast the hell out of them. These are nice.

Yes, he uses HDR. For example, his photo of the Taj Mahal.

HDR is not so bad. It is definitely a stylistic representation of subject matter.
Still, this photographer is technically solid.
It is interesting that he chose to shoot "The TAJ" from the exact same spot that everyone else does. Why? There are so many photos from that angle....
I beg the world, no more Taj Mahal photos from that spot! No more!

His flickr collection separates the HDR images from the rest.

HDR is like having a robot do the optimal dodge/burn job for you in the dark room, only perhaps better since you (if you're doing it properly) have bracketed exposures to give your image more range. I like it. Like any photographic tool it's possible to abuse it, and since it's new of course people are still releasing work with rough edges.
It applies nicely to motion pictures, too.

So dissapointed that this wasn't showing Caitlin Moran's HDR photography. So dissapointed.
