This was fun and pretty (although I snort at some of the advice.)
But a glance around the site was well rewarded: look! SPORK DRESS!!

This is hilarious. I totally love this site and the delightfully funny pairing of contemporary fashion platitudes for women's clothing, written in Middle English script, with Medieval men's outfits. And the men so obviously stern, bearded and dignified. There is something about it that makes me crack up, image after image.
The cute cod pieces are adorable, the round ball in front.
Curious, I looked at the parent site and saw the playfulness doesn't end. whoa.
Thanks for the grins and silliness.

Curious about the origin of the original outfits, I found information about them on MeFite peacay's spectacular blog, BibliOdyssey.
Hofkleiderbuch:
This wonderful watercolour sketch album of the Court livery (the distinctive costumes of the nobility) relates to the reigns of Counts Wilhelm IV and Albrecht V in 16th century Bavaria. The Duke Dress and Heraldry post from last year - featuring a related manuscript - gives a little more background.

My favorite shoes ever could have, almost been the boots in the picture captioned "Don't pull up your stockings in public." Arch support is for the weak.

I wanted to like this more than I actually did. Droll pictures plus Fashion statements: Not always well matched.

You haven't lived until you've seen a hamster running around in the Habitrail skirt designed by Psycho Girlfriend. The pictures don't do it justice.
