This... this brings a tear to my eye. It's the best flash game ever created.

Best Flash Game Ever.
Now if the "Runnin' With the Devil" Soundsmithing of the vocal track were to be the background music to it...

The recent surge in David Lee Roth's Internet popularity/pervasiveness frightens and alarms me. But it's fun to shoot Sammy Hagar.

I swear to God I played a Grateful Dead coin-op arcade game in a video arcade in the 1980s -- you had to reunite the band members with their instruments through a variety of levels that riffed on different popular arcade games at the time. I had no idea who the Grateful Dead were at the time, I just thought that skull lightning bolt thingy was cool.
The Internet fails me in trying to find this game, though. I can find some guy that built a coin-op arcade shell with a Grateful Dead theme, and some sort of trivia board game, but no reference to a real stand-alone play-it-with-tokens game from 20-odd years ago. I can't think of any other rock band themed video games from the era, either.

Aha! It was the Journey game, and the giant robot head was what I thought was cool. Never mind. Carry on.

What's the source of that Roth "Runnin' With The Devil" acapella? A podcast I listen to was just using some of the same soundbites from it to carry on a fake conversation with Diamond Dave.

Never mind, I just found it: AAAAAA-YAAAAAAAH!
It's the actual isolated vocal track from Runnin' With The Devil. I'm not enough of a VH fan (or really a fan at all) to determine if it's from the final version or some other take, but it is awesome. Listen to it all the way through, I dare you not to crack up.

DecemberBoy: If you're new to that acapella, you should check out Runnin' with the Songsmith.

I did better at this than I do at regular Asteroids. Make of this what you like.
Nitpick: Hagar should sing VH songs at both sizes - or, if you consider it more thematically appropriate, solo songs at both sizes. I'm partial to "Three Lock Box".

What's the sample when the game first loads up?
"Is that asteroids?" "Naw it's what my dad does". (Unintelligible)
