The shocking ending is that one of them really does end up going out on a date with Steve.

I love the slightly smug delivery of "We do product called 1-2-3."

Woah. Wooooah. What's really bizarre is that software developer #1 went nowhere, #2 did OK and #3 became Intergalactic Overlord. But who could have guessed based on that presentation?

The best part is when billg slyly insinuates that he has 640KB of RAM in his pocket
protector.

I feel bad about it, and perhaps I'm just completely out of the loop, but I found myself going "Who?" at the first two guys - and for bachelor #1, I hadn't even heard of the software or the company.

I was 2 when that came out, though, so that might explain it.

Don't get into bed with constant #3, Steve!

She's ugly, bloated, slow, incompatible... and I hear she has Münchausen syndrome by proxy!

Steve Jobs was 28. Bill Gates was also. When I was 28 I was in grad school, not taking over the world. Jobs comes off as so incredibly smug.

Here we go. Why couldn't Bill start doing commercials with Steve? Couldn't be worse than what Bill's currently trying.

He looked radiantly triumphant to me. These guys, all of them to one degree or another, totally revolutionized human communication around the planet with their inventions, innovations and vision. An awesome bunch of human beings. Here they are at the height of their creative and capitalist virility, joking around with a Dating Game skit. It has that 80's success glow to it somehow.
