Work by more than 20 contemporary artists from the Middle East is being showcased at the Saatchi Gallery.

Sounds much better than the exhibition they were having. Thanks for reminding me. I don't know if the works you link to are illustrative of the denigration of women or at least the problems addressed are surely not exclusive of Islamic societies. Kader Attia's 'Ghost' seems more to the point.
