Well.. that really made me smile. Makes me think about how my conversations with my two nieces are developing.

Get the kids and David Attenborough to safety and there's a terrorist target we can all get behind.

Lovely interviews, quite shabby navigation on the site. Audio slide show?

Which ones are the children?

England's favorite crybaby John Terry.

I share David Attenborough's incredulity that a 5 year old can't read. Really? That's how old kids get these days before they start learning to read?

Aw, these were actually quite adorable. Apart from Attenborough's, which I found a bit of an exercise in awkwardness through no fault of his or the little girl's.

And yeah, 5-year-olds can't read. Or rather, they are not taught or expected to at that time, so if they have no predisposition to running away from their peer group with a book bigger than them, they probably won't learn to read. It drove me nuts while my sister was growing up (but she's morphed into an adorable little bibliophile now and we have random discussions about books I buy her).

Random observation: any reason these were all female kids interviewing male celebrities?

Oh wait, my bad, that was just the FPP selection, not the entire series.

I have to give props to Francesca Gallio for proving what I've long suspected; the world would be better off without Simon Cowell.

"These days"? I'm 35 and I couldn't read at five. And my mother's an old school-style elementary school teacher, so I'm sure if I was supposed to know how at that age, I would have been made to learn. Probably some kids aren't ready to read until grade one, so they wait until then to teach them all.

Girls Aloud are male?? Wow, I mean, I'd heard the rumours about Kimberly but I thought it was made-up internet stuff!

Francesca had a perfect opportunity there to take out Cowell, but she let it slip by. What's with kids nowadays? At what age are you able to recognize evil and destroy it?

Yeah, and that Oscar Witt in my earlier link to the John Terry interview certainly doesnt look like her big sister, Katarina.

I mean, we've all heard about East German athletes and all, but Katarina was the exception, poor little sister "Oscar" doesn't look anything like the hottest figure skater to grace the Olympics in, like, evar.

I read the original four transcript first before exploring in further detail. Hasty commenting? Yes. Just as hastily rescinded? Yes. Call-out worthy? Hopefully not so much.

Dammit. I thought I read Quentin Crisp and got all excited.
