But, D minor is the saddest of all keys...

I was an E miner for a while, back when a gram of E was worth something. Those were peaceful days in the mines, and a guy could get lost for hours in the rhythmic sounds of pick-axes chipping away, looking for the motherload. There were some deaths, but we didn't mind. There was always the promise of another hit, somewhere ahead of you.

That's funny, I've always thought D Major to be the happiest key and chord.

There is some OK stuff here, but quite a bit of it is Aussie-related. Just a heads-up.

Exactly, tev. Thank the christ I came here to Metafilter to have my thoughts about that website confirmed.
Now you can wonder if you should be attracted by my self-deprecation or if you should pity me. It's hard to tell on the internet, innit?

I have to give them kudos for "wearing" something that is "highly unwearable."

Looks like a possibly good site, but this FPP would be better with a few examples rather than just listing broad categories.
I sort of like Omegle (random chats with anonymous strangers), from their "Websites" section.
They clearly aren't too concerned with having a diverse-looking group of editors.

it had to be said eventually...for a bunch of self-proclaimed designey types, why is their site so fucking ugly? are they deliberately trying to mimic a myspace profile?
on the bright side, the boxes up in the top RH corner allow you to toggle between a bunch of background colours, but on the downside, there's no professional white background option.
and while i'm at it, wtf is up with their logo? if i didn't already know the word was "minor", i'd have trouble reading it. even knowing that, it still reads as "manor" to me. or was that just a device to incorporate a hidden stylised penis in the design?

Any site involving art/design should have something innovative in its art/design. I would have to give it an E-, to match its name and its level of coolness. A somewhat OK effort.
Also: 1. What's with the three-testicled "I" in "Minor"?
and 2. As a musician, I have been lost in the key of E minor, but have never been lost at E minor, except as a random big-band cold-reading incident (does this make sense to any musicians or linguists out there?).

So....I thought it had some pretty cool work on it.
Oh wait, I forgot, it's bad because it has a penis "I", right?

Yes, exactly. Why, I remember when I was just a lad, and my dad directed me to a website with a penis "I", and said "son, this is bad." Since that day, in my many travels around and about thatol' web, I've come upon many a website with a penis "I", yes I have, but I've never forgotten what my old pappy told me on that day.

pushing the penis-i aside for now, the content definitely looks interesting, it's just the site design that falls a it short - another example is how the columns on the RHS just end halfway down, leaving the main content squished unnecessarily into the LH side.
(penis-i sounds kinda rasta, as in "i and penis-i is wanting some irie lovin, mun")

Been there, but as a bass player I'm more likely to be lost in any other key — E minor is pretty much home.

From their music section:
I first saw The Drones in a gritty Melbourne venue about six years ago and they played to only twenty people.
They must have played to twenty people many, many times, as I've met about fifty people who claim to have seen them at such shows. Still a great band, though.

Regarding the actual content of the site, the painted car is pretty damn cool, texts from last night is always hilarious, and the wee house in the park is just daft. Wouldn't a "human-sized kennel" have enough space for more than just your head? That looks like a small dog-sized kennel with a hole underneath to stand in.
