Another NW Earthquake

Another NW Earthquake At 5.0, this one was substantially smaller than the last one, but it was strong enough to have us sitting bolt upright in bed at 6:19 this morning here in Olympia, WA. How was it in Seattle and Portland?

Slept through it. (PDX)

Damn! I missed my second Seattle earthquake! Here we keep having them and I keep not noticing them.

Although perhaps my cat noticed it. I was awakened by loud meowing sometime in the wee hours.

Damn. Didn't even notice it. Probably a good thing.

I was awake at 6:19, alas, and didn't feel a thing. I'm in Portland. Then again, my two year old was jumping on the bed at the time, so I'd have probably missed it. Any northwesterners have an earthquake rider on their home insurance?

Huh. Didn't feel a thing.

Heh. Apollo, just a side note: You and me both on the PS-1, but I had an early version that only came with a 1200 baud modem. (I thought I was NEVER going to fill that 40 meg hard drive...)

(I would've emailed this, but there isn't an email in your profile...)

Nothing in west seattle.
Next time we should have this when everybody's awake to appreciate it, though.

Hm. Nothing felt here in the Cap Hill area...

Wonder if this is related to the M's winning streak being snapped last night? Is God an M's fan now, too?

You could have slapped me in the face at 6:19 and I wouldn't have woken up.

Second moderate-sized quake in a short amount of time. It's *good* luck that comes in threes, right?

That's what we can hope, jragon. I just wonder how Olympia's new 4th Avenue Bridge managed. The old one was deeply cracked by the last earthquake, and they've been building a new one as quickly as they can. Poor Oly!

(although actually, I thought both earthquakes were fun!)

I was awake and I did feel the quake, on Beacon Hill in Seattle. It felt very much like way the last one began -- a gentle side-to-side movement. But that was it -- it stayed mild and then stopped.

How ironic. This quake was stronger than the last one, and I felt that one instead of this. Of course, I was also awake for the last one. (PDX)

No, this quake was WEAKER than the last one: the quake yesterday was 5.0. The quake on February 28th was 6.8.
