IIRC, Hobo With A Shogun was the old working title for Kill Bill.

When I was in the Army and stationed in Arizona (Fort Huachuca, the fort that sounds like a sneeze!), there was an actual treevenge occurrence. Some drunk guy in Sierra Vista took a shotgun to one of those really big 20'-tall cactuses...and it fell on him and killed him. I remember thinking: justice has been served.

I laugh hysterically with a cigar in my mouth whenever I wash the dishes. Do I have any grimevenge coming?

If you can't find joy in early Jackson splatter-fests where can you find you in life?

Nah, I can appreciate his gritty shoot-from-the-hip early stuff.. same with Sam Raimi's Evil Dead and Robert Rodriguez's El Mariachi. Not that enthusiasm always makes up for finely-tuned technique.

Actually, that's a good meme to start. Videos of people doing ordinary day to day stuff, but with a cigar in their mouthes and laughing maniacally. You go first.

Peter Jackson did not invent the grainy wobbly blood everywhere type of movie. Not that Peter Jackson hasn't done good stuff, it just seems like an odd reference. Especially when there are a plethora of other movies that did the same thing.

Yeah... actually I'm alimost thinking of it displacing Junky's Christmas as the Xmas internet watch, if it's still up there.
Of course THE holiday film is Flash Gordon on Boxing Day afternoon... that will never change.

This could have worked as a fake movie trailer at about 3 minutes but it dragged way too long for 16 minutes.
